Product Description

Tipon CA 690 is a speciality water dispersion adhesive compound designed for bonding various floor coverings. It is ideal for use in carpet installation, as well as other flooring materials like vinyl sheets, linoleum, and acoustic underlayments.

Application Guidelines

  1. Surface Preparation: Ensure substrates are level, clean, and free of dust or loose particles. Use a wet cloth to clean the surface before adhesive application.

  2. Application: Stir the adhesive well. Apply evenly with a suitable notched trowel:

    • Vinyl Sheet and Carpets: Use A2 notched trowel.

    • Linoleum Sheet or Tile: Use B1 notched trowel.

  3. Open Time:

    • For vapor-permeable coverings, allow approx. 25 minutes.

    • For impermeable coverings, allow approx. 15 minutes.

  4. Post-application: Avoid air pockets, ensuring the material is firmly pressed down.


Safety Information

  • Tipon CA 690 is solvent-free and does not contain any hazardous chemicals.

  • Use protective clothing (gloves and goggles) during application.

  • In case of skin or eye contact, rinse with fresh water.

  • Dispose of the product responsibly; do not dispose of in natural water systems.

  • Clean tools and equipment before adhesive sets using water.


Packaging Information

  • Packaging: 10 kg plastic bucket

  • Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place; shelf life of 12 months.


Important Notes

  • Avoid application at temperatures below 10°C or with relative humidity greater than 75%.

  • Open buckets should be used as soon as possible, and tightly closed after use to avoid product drying.

  • The times listed are based on normal climatic conditions (35°C / 60% relative humidity). Working time may vary with temperature, humidity, and substrate type.
